Let's face it: When you're called "The Amazing Spider-Man," expectations have a tendency to get pretty high pretty quickly. Anything less than amazing just isn't going to cut it. So every time the folks behind "The Amazing Spider-Man" release new information about the July 3 series relaunch, it goes under a microscope. Are they going to be able to deliver on their own hyperbole?

Well, if the brand new international trailer is any indication, the answer is a resounding yes.

Of course, we do wish the new clip featured more Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, but that's mainly because we wish every aspect of our lives featured more Emma Stone. But what the trailer does show is pretty badass, as we get a deeper look into the film's central story: Peter Parker's search for the truth behind the mysterious disappearance of his parents, a search that has unintended consequences in the form of the villainous Lizard (Rhys Ifans).
