The coolest thing about CBS All Access’ “Big Brother Over the Top,” launching 7 p.m. PT Wednesday, is the absence of “blackouts.” We get to see everything live, including the competitions. The least cool part is viewers, rather than a jury of evicted contestants, choose the Big Winner at season’s end; that’s how the first CBS season worked, and it sucked.

You gotta love how the Gen Xers moaned about Millennials (born 1977-1995) wanting to take short-cuts, but it was Gen Xers (born 1965-1976) who took the shortcuts and lost last week’s immunity challenge because of it. Well done, “Survivor,” well done.
