Michael Bloomberg Calls Donald Trump “Dangerous Demagogue”, Questions His Sanity & Competency At DNC

One of the most blistering attacks on Donald Trump at the Democratic National Convention did not come from a Democrate, it came from an independent and a fellow billionaire New York businessman. In a speech, media magnate and former NY mayor Michael Bloomberg, who considered running for president himself, went after Trump from the get-go, calling him a “dangerous demagogue.”
Bloomberg has a heft when he questions Trump’s business acumen — both are A-list entrepreneurs on…

PHILADELPHIA — Former New York mayor and media mogul Michael Bloomberg hammered Donald Trump in a speech to the Democratic National Convention, calling him a “dangerous demagogue” who was running a scam to win the American presidency. “I’m a New Yorker and I know a con when I see one,” he said to cheers. Fiery Joe Biden Touts Top Dems, Roasts “Clueless” Donald Trump & Stokes American Pride At DNC

Joe Biden took the stage at the Democratic National Convention tonight to “Gonna Fly Now,” the theme from Philly-set Rocky, and was met with rapturous cheers. A longtime favorite of the Dem rank and file, he gave a fiery, crowd-pleasing speech that was long on praise for the party’s leaders, and longer on patriotic truths about “the unbreakable spirit of the people of America.”
On what likely will be his last star turn on a national stage after a nearly half-century…

The poster for Park Chan-wook’s THE HANDMAIDEN is mighty touchy!

Hands hands everywhere!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. It’s always a celebration when Park Chan-wook has a movie hitting cinema screens. You’ve likely seen the trailer for his latest, The Handmaiden, so you know we’re in for some good shit.
I’ve heard nothing but great word of mouth about this film. I would expect nothing less from the director of Oldboy, Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance, Lady Vengeance and Stoker, but it’s great that Korean Kubrick seems to still be pumping out the good stuff.
While most of us can’t watch the movie itself yet (it’s not out in America until October), we do have this poster, which is just about the most awkward family portrait ever. So many hands touching so many things!

I’m torn on this movie not hitting US screens until October. On the one hand, there’s a little Veruca Salt in me and I want everything now, but on the other I do like that I have some good stuff to look forward to later in the year. I guess that’s me in a nutshell, somewhere between a real deal adult and an anxious (possibly obnoxious) kid.

Logo by Kristian HornINTROWhat the $% is ZOMBIES & SHARKS? Welcome to the darker side of AICN! Mark L. Miller aka Ambush Bug here, back and blistered from San Diego Comic Con. I’ll be posting my regular AICN HORROR column on Friday and a few other special things before then from the con itself, but I wanted to pass on a bit you can file under “Cool News” for you to devour. I reviewed AVA’S POSSESSIONS a while back and really loved it’s quirky tone and original take on the possession subgenre of horror. It’s also got an amazing soundtrack by Sean Lennon. I recently chatted with director Jordan Galland and he passed me the “Making of AVA’S POSSESSIONS” featurette from the BluRay/DVD release. The film is available now on BluRay/DVD and on Netflix. I definitely recommend you all check it out!
